Bāla-kāṇḍa
Chapter 10: Ṛśyaśṛṅga Comes to Romapada’s kingdom
Text 1.10.7

आश्रमस्याविदूरेऽस्मिन्यत्नं कुर्वन्ति दर्शने।
ऋषिपुत्रस्य धीरस्य नित्यम् आश्रमवासिनः॥

āśramasyāvidūre ’smin yatnaṁ kurvanti darśane
ṛṣi-putrasya dhīrasya nityam āśrama-vāsinaḥ

āśramasya = from Ṛśyaśṛṅga’s āśrama; avidūre = not very far; asmin = in the forest; yatnam = carefully endeavored; kurvanti = they; darśane = to observe him; ṛṣi-putrasya = son of Vibhaṇḍaka Ṛṣi; dhīrasya = for the sober; nityam = always; āśrama-vāsinaḥ = resided at his āśrama

In the forest, not very far from Ṛśyaśṛṅga’s āśrama, they carefully endeavored to observe him, for the sober son of Vibhaṇḍaka Ṛṣi always resided at his āśrama.

The courtesans had to endeavor to observe Ṛśyaśṛṅga for he was the son of a ṛṣi, sober and always residing at his āśrama.
