दिवसे दिवसे तत्र संस्तरे कुशला द्विजाः।
सर्वकर्माणि चक्रुस्ते यथाशास्त्रं प्रचोदिताः॥
divase divase tatra saṁstare kuśalā dvijāḥ
sarva-karmāṇi cakrus te yathā-śāstraṁ pracoditāḥ
divase divase = everyday; tatra = during the Aśvamedha sacrifice; saṁstare = on the sacrificial arena strewn with grass; kuśalāḥ = expert; dvijāḥ = twiceborn; sarva-karmāṇi = all the rituals; cakruḥ = performed; te = the; yathā-śāstram = as per the scriptures; pracoditāḥ = under the direction of the seniors.
Everyday during the Aśvamedha sacrifice, the expert twiceborn on the sacrificial arena strewn with grass performed all the rituals as per the scriptures under the direction of the seniors.
[7] ūmorvyakāvyādhidaivatyāni dvi-nārāśaṁsanaṁ prātaḥ-savanaṁ dvi-nārāśaṁsanaṁ mādhyandinaṁ savanaṁ sakṛn-nārāśaṁsanaṁ tṛtīya-savanam.
The priests performed the prescribed rituals thrice a day during every day of the Aśvamedha sacrifice [7].
