कर्म कुर्वन्ति विधिवद्याजका वेदपारगाः।
यथाविधि यथान्यायं परिक्रामन्ति शास्त्रतः॥
karma kurvanti vidhivad yājakā veda-pāragāḥ
yathā-vidhi yathā-nyāyaṁ parikrāmanti śāstrataḥ
karma = their duties; kurvanti vidhivat = performed; yājakāḥ = the sacrificial priests; veda-pāragāḥ = who had achieved the proper understanding of the import of the Vedas; yathā-vidhi = as enjoined in the Veda; yathā-nyāyam = the Mīmāṁsā; parikrāmanti = in the right sequence; śāstrataḥ = and the Kalpa-sūtra scriptures.
The sacrificial priests who had achieved the proper understanding of the import of the Vedas performed their duties as enjoined in the Veda, the Mīmāṁsā and the Kalpa-sūtra scriptures, in the right sequence.
[3] trīṇi trīṇi vaiśvadevāni juhoti. pūrṇāhutim uttamāṁ juhoti.
There are certain duties to be performed for seven days from Pratipat: three Vaiśvadeva sacrifices each day and a Pūrṇāhuti ritual [3].
