Chapter 14: The Aśvamedha Sacrifice
Text 1.14.5

अभिपूज्य ततो हृष्टाः सर्वे चक्रुर्यथाविधि।
प्रातःसवनपूर्वाणि कर्माणि मुनिपुङ्गवाः॥

abhipūjya tato hṛṣṭāḥ sarve cakrur yathā-vidhi
prātaḥ-savana-pūrvāṇi
karmāṇi muni-puṅgavāḥ

abhipūjya = after worshipping the demigods known as karma-devatās through the bahiṣpavamāna and similar hymns; tataḥ = at the end of the Pravargya and Upasada rituals; hṛṣṭāḥ = happily; sarve = all; cakruh = executed; yathā-vidhi = according to the scriptural regulations; prātaḥ-savana-pūrvāṇi karmāṇi = the morning, afternoon and evening ritual offerings of soma; muni-puṅgavāḥ = of the excellent sages.

After worshipping the demigods known as karma-devatās through the bahiṣpavamāna and similar hymns, at the end of the Pravargya and Upasada rituals, all of the excellent sages happily executed the morning, afternoon and evening ritual offerings of soma according to the scriptural regulations.

The author then states the procedure involving soma.
