Chapter 15: The Demigods Appeal to the Lord for Protection
Text 1.15.11
तन्महन्नो भयं तस्माद्राक्षसाद्घोरदर्शनात्।
वधार्थं तस्य भगवन्नुपायं कर्तुमर्हसि॥
tan mahan no bhayaṁ tasmād rākṣasād ghora-darśanāt
vadhārthaṁ tasya bhagavann upāyaṁ kartum arhasi
tat = therefore; mahat = great; naḥ = we have such; bhayam = fear; tasmāt = of that; rākṣasāt = rākṣasa; ghora-darśanāt = of terrible appearance; vadha-artham tasya = to have him killed; bhagavan = O Lord; upāyam = a means; kartum arhasi = please contemplate upon.
Therefore, we have such great fear of that rākṣasa of terrible appearance. O Lord, please contemplate upon a means to have him killed.
