Chapter 15: The Demigods Appeal to the Lord for Protection
Text 1.15.18

ब्रह्मणा च समागम्य तत्र तस्थौ समाहितः।
तमब्रुवन्सुराः सर्वे समभिष्टूय सन्नताः॥

brahmaṇā ca samāgamya tatra tasthau samāhitaḥ

abruvan surāḥ sarve samabhiṣṭūya sannatāḥ

brahmaṇā = by Brahmā; ca = and others; samāgamya = having been approached; tatra = amidst that assembly; tasthau = Lord Viṣṇu stood; samāhitaḥ = His mind focused on His duty of protecting them; tam = unto Him; abruvan = they spoke as follows; surāḥ = the demigods headed by Lord Brahmā; sarve = all of; samabhiṣṭūya = glorified Him who was prepared to protect those who had taken shelter of Him; sannatāḥ = then, while offering respectful obeisances.

Having been approached by Brahmā and others, Lord Viṣṇu stood amidst that assembly, His mind focused on His duty of protecting them. All of the demigods headed by Lord Brahmā glorified Him who was prepared to protect those who had taken shelter of Him. Then, while offering respectful obeisances unto Him, they spoke as follows.

We know that Lord Brahmā also joined in offering these prayers from text 27.
