Chapter 16: Daśaratha Benedicted
Text 1.16.31
एवं तासां ददौ राजा भार्याणां पायसं पृथक्॥
evaṁ tāsāṁ dadau rājā bhāryāṇāṁ pāyasaṁ pṛthak
evam = thus; tāsām = those; dadau = gave; rājā = the king; bhāryāṇām = wives of his; pāyasam = the pāyasa; pṛthak = separately.
Thus, the king gave those wives of his the pāyasa separately.
