स राज्ञो दर्शनाकाङ्क्षी द्वाराध्यक्षानुवाच ह।
शीघ्रमाख्यात मां प्राप्तं कौशिकं गाधिनन्दनम्॥
sa rājño darśanākāṅkṣī dvārādhyakṣān uvāca ha
śīghram ākhyāta māṁ prāptaṁ kauśikaṁ gādhi-nandanam
saḥ = he; rājñaḥ = the king; darśana-ākāṅkṣī = desiring to see; dvāra-adhyakṣān = the gate superintendents; uvāca ha = told; śīghram = quickly; ākhyāta = inform that; mām = I; prāptam = has arrived; kauśikam = of the Kuśika gotra; gādhi-nandanam = the son of Gādhi.
Desiring to see the king, he told the gate superintendents: Quickly inform that I, the son of Gādhi of the Kuśika gotra, has arrived.
