Chapter 21: The Anger and Appeasal of Viśvāmitra
Text 1.21.17
सुप्रभाजनयच्चापि सुतान्पञ्चाशतं पुनः।
संहारान्नाम दुर्धर्षान्दुराक्रामान्बलीयसः॥
suprabhājanayac cāpi sutān pañcāśataṁ punaḥ
saṁhārān nāma durdharṣān durākrāmān balīyasaḥ
suprabhā = Suprabhā; ajanayat ca api = gave birth; sutān = sons; pañcāśatam punaḥ = to fifty; saṁhārān nāma = appropriately named Saṁhāras (“destroyers”); durdharṣān = they were impossible to be subdued by others; durākrāmān = infallible; balīyasaḥ = and powerful.
Suprabhā gave birth to fifty sons appropriately named Saṁhāras (“destroyers”). They were impossible to be subdued by others, infallible and powerful.
