Chapter 26: The Killing of the Demoness Tāṭakā
Text 1.26.41
निहत्य तां यक्षसुतां स रामः प्रशस्यमानः सुरसिद्धसङ्घैः।
उवास तस्मिन्मुनिना सहैव प्रभातवेलां प्रतिबोध्यमानः॥
nihatya tāṁ yakṣa-sutāṁ sa rāmaḥ
praśasyamānaḥ sura-siddha-saṅghaiḥ
uvāsa tasmin muninā sahaiva
prabhāta-velāṁ pratibodhyamānaḥ
nihatya = having killed; tām = that; yakṣa-sutām = yakṣa’s daughter; saḥ rāmaḥ = Lord Rāma; praśasyamānaḥ = glorified; sura-siddha-saṅghaiḥ = by the demigods and the siddhas; uvāsa = resided; tasmin = there; muninā saha eva = with that sage; prabhāta-velām = early next morning; pratibodhyamānaḥ = he was woken up by the sage.
Having killed that yakṣa’s daughter, Lord Rāma, glorified by the demigods and the siddhas, resided with that sage there. Early next morning, He was woken up by the sage.
