Chapter 27: Viśvāmitra Teaches Rāma to Summon Divine Weapons
Text 1.27.23
जपतस्तु मुनेस्तस्य विश्वामित्रस्य धीमतः।
उपतस्थुर्महार्हाणि सर्वाण्यस्त्राणि राघवम्॥
japatas tu munes tasya viśvāmitrasya dhīmataḥ
upatasthur mahārhāṇi sarvāṇy astrāṇi rāghavam
japataḥ tu = when uttered [mantras]; muneḥ = the sage; tasya = those; viśvāmitrasya = Viśvāmitra; dhīmataḥ = intelligent; upatasthuḥ = appeared; mahā-arhāṇi = greatly valuable; sarvāṇi = all of those; astrāṇi = weapons; rāghavam = before Rāghava to serve Him.
When the intelligent sage Viśvāmitra uttered those mantras, all of those greatly valuable weapons appeared before Rāghava to serve Him.
After granting the mantras for each weapon, Viśvāmitra wanted the presiding deities of those mantras to become order-carriers of Rāma, and so he remembered them and uttered them. On his order, those presiding deities of those weapons served Rāghava.
