Chapter 28: Viśvāmitra Teaches Rāma to Withdraw Divine Weapons
Text 1.28.15
मानसाः कार्यकालेषु साहायं मे करिष्यथ।
गम्यतामिति तानाह यथेष्टं रघुनन्दन॥
mānasāḥ kārya-kāleṣu sāhāyaṁ me kariṣyatha
gamyatām iti tān āha yatheṣṭaṁ raghu-nandana
mānasāḥ = following My mind; kārya-kāleṣu = at the time of My need; sāhāyam me kariṣyatha = all of you will assist Me; gamyatām iti = now depart; tān = them; āha = told; yathā-iṣṭam = as you like; raghu-nandanaḥ = the beloved descendant of Raghu.
The beloved descendant of Raghu told them: Following My mind, all of you will assist Me at the time of My need. Now depart as you like.1
1 Mānasāḥ indicates that they should appear before Lord Rāma as soon as He thinks of them for their services. This is in line with Rāmāyaṇa 1.27.26.
