ततस्तु रामः काकुत्स्थः शासनाद्ब्रह्मवादिनः।
लक्ष्मणाय च तान्सर्वान्वरास्त्रान्रघुनन्दनः।
संहारान्सच संहृष्टः श्रीमांस्तस्मै न्यवेदयत्॥
tatas tu rāmaḥ kākutsthaḥ śāsanād brahma-vādinaḥ
lakṣmaṇāya ca tān sarvān varāstrān raghu-nandanaḥ
saṁhārān sa ca saṁhṛṣṭaḥ śrīmāṁs tasmai nyavedayat
tataḥ tu = then; rāmaḥ = Śrī Rāma; kākutsthaḥ = the descendant of Kakutstha; śāsanāt = on the order; brahma-vādinaḥ = of the Vedic teacher Viśvāmitra; lakṣmaṇāya ca = to Lakṣmaṇa; tān sarvān = all those weapons; vara-astrān = those excellent weapons; raghu-nandanaḥ = and the beloved of the Raghus; saṁhārān = the mantras to withdraw the weapons; saḥ = that; ca = also; saṁhṛṣṭaḥ = being very satisfied; śrīmān = beautiful Lord Rāma; tasmai = Lakṣmaṇa; nyavedayat = gave.
Then, on the order of the Vedic teacher Viśvāmitra, Śrī Rāma, the descendant of Kakutstha and the beloved of the Raghus, gave all those excellent weapons to Lakṣmaṇa. Being very satisfied, that beautiful Lord Rāma also gave Lakṣmaṇa the mantras to withdraw those weapons.
