सम्प्राप्ता यत्र ते पापा ब्रह्मघ्ना दुष्टचारिणः।
तव यज्ञस्य विघ्नाय दुरात्मानो महामते॥
भगवंस्तस्य को देशः सा यत्र तव याज्ञिकी।
रक्षितव्या क्रिया ब्रह्मन्मम वध्याश्च राक्षसाः॥
samprāptā yatra te pāpā brahmaghnā duṣṭa-cāriṇaḥ
tava yajñasya vighnāya durātmāno mahā-mate
bhagavaṁs tasya ko deśaḥ sā yatra tava yājñikī
rakṣitavyā kriyā brahman mama vadhyāś ca rākṣasāḥ
samprāptāḥ = come to; yatra = that place where; te pāpāḥ = the rākṣasas; brahmaghnāḥ = the sinful killers of brāhmaṇas; duṣṭa-cāriṇaḥ = of evil deeds; tava = your; yajñasya = sacrificial activity; vighnāya = to destroy; durātmānaḥ = and wicked minds; mahā-mate = of great intelligence; bhagavan = O powerful sage; tasya kaḥ deśaḥ = where is that place; sā yatra tava yājñikī = and where should be protected; rakṣitavyā kriyā = I will protect; brahman = O brāhmaṇa; mama vadhyāḥ ca rākṣasāḥ = and slay those rākṣasas.
O powerful sage of great intelligence, O brāhmaṇa, where is that place where the rākṣasas, the sinful killers of brāhmaṇas of evil deeds and wicked minds, come to destroy and where your sacrificial activity should be protected? I will protect that place and slay those rākṣasas.
