Chapter 29: The History of Siddhāśrama
Text 1.29.44
एवम् उक्तो महातेजा विश्वामित्रो महामुनिः।
प्रविवेश ततो दीक्षां नियतो नियतेन्द्रियः॥
evam ukto mahā-tejā viśvāmitro mahā-muniḥ
praviveśa tato dīkṣāṁ niyato niyatendriyaḥ
evam uktaḥ = upon being addressed thus; mahā-tejāḥ = of great prowess; viśvāmitraḥ = Viśvāmitra; mahā-muniḥ = the great sage; praviveśa tataḥ dīkṣām = inaugurated the preparation for the sacrifice; niyataḥ niyata-indriyaḥ = and who had brought his mind and senses under control.
Upon being addressed thus, the great sage Viśvāmitra of great prowess and who had brought his mind and senses under control inaugurated the preparation for the sacrifice.
