तावुदीक्ष्य त्वरन्रामश्चापमायम्य वीर्यवान्।
मानवं परमोदारं अस्त्रं परमभास्वरम्।
चिक्षेप परमक्रुद्धो मारीचोरसि राघवः॥
tāv udīkṣya tvaran rāmaś cāpam āyamya vīryavān
mānavaṁ paramodāraṁ astraṁ parama-bhāsvaram
cikṣepa parama-kruddho mārīcorasi rāghavaḥ
tau = looking up; udīkṣya = spotting them above; tvaran = quickly; rāmaḥ = Rāma; cāpam āyamya = stretched His bow and; vīryavān = heroic; mānavam parama-udāram astram parama-bhāsvaram = the extremely great and brilliant Mānava weapon; cikṣepa = released; parama-kruddhaḥ = and with great anger; mārīca-urasi = on the chest of Mārīca; rāghavaḥ = then, the descendant of Raghu.
Looking up, Rāma spotted them above. Then, the heroic descendant of Raghu quickly stretched His bow and with great anger released the extremely great and brilliant Mānava weapon on the chest of Mārīca.
