आयागभूतं नृपतेस्तस्य वेश्मनि राघव।
अर्चितं विविधैर्गन्धैर्माल्यैश्चागरुगन्धिभिः॥
āyāga-bhūtaṁ nṛ-pates tasya veśmani rāghava
arcitaṁ vividhair gandhair mālyaiś cāgaru-gandhibhiḥ
āyāga-bhūtam = that sacrificial bow; nṛ-pateḥ tasya = of the king of Mithilā; veśmani = in the palace; rāghava = O Rāghava; arcitam = is worshipped; vividhaiḥ gandhaiḥ = with various kinds of sandalwood pulp; mālyaiḥ ca = flowers; agaru-gandhibhiḥ = aguru and other fragrances.
O Rāghava, in the palace of the king of Mithilā, that sacrificial bow is worshipped with various kinds of sandalwood pulp, flowers, aguru and other fragrances.
Āyāga-bhūtam refers to the bow that is primarily worshipped during a festival. These statements are not said to be uttered by Viśvāmitra alone, indicating that all of the sages unanimously approved of Rāma and Lakṣmaṇa going to Mithilā.
