Chapter 31: Viśvāmitra, Rāma and Lakṣmaṇa Depart for Mithilā
Text 1.31.20

ते गत्वा दूरमध्वानं लम्बमाने दिवाकरे।
वासं चक्रुर्मुनिवराः शोणाकूले समागताः॥

te gatvā dūram adhvānaṁ lambamāne divākare
vāsaṁ
cakrur muni-varāḥ śoṇā-kūle samāgatāḥ

te = the; gatvā = having traversed; dūram adhvānam = a long distance; lambamāne divākare = when the sun was setting; vāsam cakruḥ = they camped there; muni-varāḥ = excellent sages; śoṇā-kūle = on the banks of the river Śoṇā; samāgatāḥ = arrived.

Having traversed a long distance, the excellent sages arrived on the banks of the river Śoṇā when the sun was setting. They camped there.

Śoṇa is also referred to as Śoṇā.
