Text 1.31.5

एवमुक्तास्ततस्ताभ्यां सर्व एव महर्षयः।
विश्वामित्रं पुरस्कृत्य रामं वचनमब्रुवन्॥

evam uktās tatas tābhyāṁ sarva eva maha-rṣayaḥ
viśvāmitraṁ
puraskṛtya rāmaṁ vacanam abruvan

evam uktāḥ tataḥ tābhyām = having being addressed thus by Them; sarve eva mahā-ṛṣayaḥ = all of the great sages; viśvāmitram puraskṛtya = headed by Viśvāmitra; rāmam = to Lord Rāma; vacanam = words; abruvan = spoke the following.

Having being addressed thus by Them, all of the great sages headed by Viśvāmitra spoke the following words to Lord Rāma.

Though Viśvāmitra was alone meant to reply to Lord Rāma, all of the sages joined in responding to Him out of their abundant devotion to Lord Rāma after taking permission from Viśvāmitra.
