Chapter 32: The History of Kuśanābha and His Daughters

एवं राजा विनिश्वस्य समाधिं सन्दधे ततः॥
evaṁ rājā viniśvasya samādhiṁ sandadhe tataḥ
evam = having asked them thus; rājā = the king; viniśvasya = became pained at heart and; samādhim sandadhe tataḥ = became attentive to hear their words.
Having asked them thus, the king became pained at heart and became attentive to hear their words.
