विश्वामित्रवचः श्रुत्वा कथान्ते रघुनन्दनः।
उवाच परमप्रीतो मुनिं दीप्तमिवानलम्॥
viśvāmitra-vacaḥ śrutvā kathānte raghu-nandanaḥ
uvāca parama-prīto muniṁ dīptam ivānalam
viśvāmitra-vacaḥ = the words of Viśvāmitra; śrutvā = upon hearing; kathā-ante = when his narration about Sagara’s inauguration of his sacrifice was over; raghu-nandanaḥ = Lord Rāma, the beloved descendant of the Raghus; uvāca = and spoke the following; parama-prītaḥ = became very pleased and; munim = to the sage; dīptam = blazed; iva = like; analam = fire.
Upon hearing the words of Viśvāmitra, when his narration about Sagara’s inauguration of his sacrifice was over, Lord Rāma, the beloved descendant of the Raghus, became very pleased and spoke the following to the sage who blazed like fire.
