Chapter 4: Kuśa and Lava Meet Lord Rāmacandra
Text 1.4.16
ते प्रीतमनसः सर्वे मुनयो धर्मवत्सलाः।
प्रशशंसुः प्रशस्तव्यौ गायमानौ कुशीलवौ॥
te prīta-manasaḥ sarve munayo dharma-vatsalāḥ
praśaśaṁsuḥ praśastavyau gāyamānau kuśī-lavau
te = those; prīta-manasaḥ = their minds pleased; sarve = all of; munayaḥ = sages; dharma-vatsalāḥ = fond of dharma; praśaśaṁsuḥ = praised; praśastavyau = who were worthy of such praise; gāyamānau = the singers; kuśī-lavau = Kuśa and Lava.
All of those sages fond of dharma, their minds pleased, praised the singers Kuśa and Lava who were worthy of such praise.
The sages glorified the poem and the singers. Because the sages were fond of dharma, they were nonenvious.
