Chapter 41: Aṁśumān Searches for His Uncles and the Horse
Text 1.41.17
स चैवमब्रवीद्वाक्यं वैनतेयो महाबलः।
मा शुचः पुरुषव्याघ्र वधोऽयं लोकसम्मतः॥
sa caivam abravīd vākyaṁ vainateyo mahā-balaḥ
mā śucaḥ puruṣa-vyāghra vadho ’yaṁ loka-sammataḥ
saḥ ca = Garuḍa; evam = these; abravīt = spoke; vākyam = words; vainateyaḥ = the son of Vinatā; mahā-balaḥ = the greatly powerful; mā śucaḥ = don’t worry; puruṣa-vyāghra = O tiger among men; vadhaḥ = death [of the sons of Sagara]; ayam = this; loka-sammataḥ = is beneficial to the world.
The greatly powerful Garuḍa, the son of Vinatā, spoke these words: O tiger among men, don’t worry. This death [of the sons of Sagara] is beneficial to the worlds.
