Chapter 45: The Churning of the Milk Ocean

त्वं गतिः सर्वभूतानां विशेषेण दिवौकसाम्।
पालयास्मान्महाबाहो गिरिमुद्धर्तुमर्हसि॥
tvaṁ gatiḥ sarva-bhūtānāṁ viśeṣeṇa divaukasām
pālayāsmān mahā-bāho girim uddhartum arhasi
tvam = You; gatiḥ = are the shelter; sarva-bhūtānām = of all creatures; viśeṣeṇa =and especially; diva-okasām = the residents of the heavenly planets; pālaya asmān = please protect us; mahā-bāho = O mighty armed one; girim = the mountain; uddhartum arhasi = please lift up.
You are the shelter of all creatures, and especially the residents of the heavenly planets. O mighty armed one, please protect us. Please lift up the mountain.
