Chapter 45: The Churning of the Milk Ocean
Text 1.45.8
तस्य तद्वचनं श्रुत्वा राघवस्य महात्मनः।
सन्तारं कारयामास सर्षिसङ्घः सराघवः॥
tasya tad vacanaṁ śrutvā rāghavasya mahātmanaḥ
santāraṁ kārayām āsa sarṣi-saṅghaḥ sarāghavaḥ
tasya = of the; tat = those; vacanam = words; śrutvā = hearing; rāghavasya = Rāghava; mahā-ātmanaḥ = great soul; santāram kārayām āsa = crossed over the river; sa-ṛṣi-saṅghaḥ = Viśvāmitra, along with the sages; sa-rāghavaḥ =Rāma and Lakṣmaṇa.
Hearing those words of the great soul Rāghava, Viśvāmitra, along with the sages, Rāma and Lakṣmaṇa, crossed over the river.
