Chapter 50: King Janaka Meets Viśvāmitra
Text 1.50.10
अथ राजा मुनिश्रेष्ठं कृताञ्जलिरभाषत।
आसने भगवन्नास्तां सहैभिर्मुनिसत्तमैः॥
atha rājā muni-śreṣṭhaṁ kṛtāñjalir abhāṣata
āsane bhagavann āstāṁ sahaibhir muni-sattamaiḥ
atha = then; rājā = the king; muni-śreṣṭham = the best of sages; kṛta-añjaliḥ = with his palms joined in supplication; abhāṣata = told; āsane bhagavan āstām = O powerful one, please remain seated on your seat; saha ebhiḥ = along with; muni-sattamaiḥ = these excellent sages.
Then, the king, with his palms joined in supplication, told the best of sages: O powerful one, please remain seated on your seat along with these excellent sages.
