Chapter 50: King Janaka Meets Viśvāmitra
Text 1.50.12
आसनेषु यथान्यायमुपविष्टान्समन्ततः।
दृष्ट्वा तु नृपतिस्तत्र विश्वामित्रमथाब्रवीत्॥
āsaneṣu yathā-nyāyam upaviṣṭān samantataḥ
dṛṣṭvā tu nṛ-patis tatra viśvāmitram athābravīt
āsaneṣu = on their seats; yathā-nyāyam = appropriately; upaviṣṭān = seated; samantataḥ = around the sage; dṛṣṭvā tu nṛ-patiḥ tatra = when the king saw that all were; viśvāmitram = Viśvāmitra; atha abravīt = he told as follows.
When the king saw that all were appropriately seated around the sage on their seats, he told Viśvāmitra as follows.
