Chapter 50: King Janaka Meets Viśvāmitra
Text 1.50.8
प्रतिगृह्य तु तां पूजां जनकस्य महात्मनः।
पप्रच्छ कुशलं राज्ञो यज्ञस्य च निरामयम्॥
pratigṛhya tu tāṁ pūjāṁ janakasya mahātmanaḥ
papraccha kuśalaṁ rājño yajñasya ca nirāmayam
pratigṛhya tu tām pūjām = having accepted the worship; janakasya mahā-ātmanaḥ = of the great soul Janaka; papraccha = Viśvāmitra inquired; kuśalam rājñaḥ = about the king’s welfare; yajñasya ca nirāmayam = and the undisturbed performance of his sacrifice.
Having accepted the worship of the great soul Janaka, Viśvāmitra inquired about the king’s welfare and the undisturbed performance of his sacrifice.
