Chapter 51: King Viśvāmitra Arrives at Vasiṣṭha’s Āśrama
Text 1.51.12
तच् छ्रुत्वा वचनं तस्य विश्वामित्रस्य धीमतः।
शतानन्दो महातेजा रामं वचनमब्रवीत्॥
tac chrutvā vacanaṁ tasya viśvāmitrasya dhīmataḥ
śatānando mahā-tejā rāmaṁ vacanam abravīt
tat śrutvā vacanam tasya = hearing the words of the; viśvāmitrasya = Viśvāmitra; dhīmataḥ = intelligent; śatānandaḥ = Śatānanda; mahā-tejāḥ = of great prowess; rāmam = to Rāma; vacanam = the following words; abravīt = spoke.
Hearing the words of the intelligent Viśvāmitra, Śatānanda of great prowess spoke the following words to Rāma.
