Chapter 52: Śabalā, Vasiṣṭha’s Wish-fulfilling Cow

स दृष्ट्वा परमप्रीतो विश्वामित्रो महाबलः।
प्रणतो विनयाद्वीरो वसिष्ठं जपतां वरम्॥
sa dṛṣṭvā parama-prīto viśvāmitro mahā-balaḥ
praṇato vinayād vīro vasiṣṭhaṁ japatāṁ varam
saḥ = the; dṛṣṭvā = saw and; parama-prītaḥ = being exceedingly delighted; viśvāmitraḥ = Viśvāmitra; mahā-balaḥ = greatly powerful; praṇataḥ = bowed to him; vinayāt = in humility; vīraḥ = hero; vasiṣṭham = Vasiṣṭha; japatām varam = the foremost of mantra reciters.
The greatly powerful hero Viśvāmitra saw the foremost of mantra reciters Vasiṣṭha and, being exceedingly delighted, bowed to him in humility.
