Chapter 54: Śabalā Attacks King Viśvāmitra’s Army
Text 1.54.24
ततोऽस्त्राणि महातेजा विश्वामित्रो मुमोच ह।
तैस्तैर्यवनकाम्भोजाः पप्लवाश्चाकुलीकृताः॥
tato ‘strāṇi mahā-tejā viśvāmitro mumoca ha
tais tair yavana-kāmbhojāḥ paplavāś cākulīkṛtāḥ
tataḥ = then; astrāṇi = weapons; mahā-tejāḥ = of great prowess; viśvāmitraḥ = Viśvāmitra; mumoca ha = hurled at them; taiḥ taiḥ = because of those weapons; yavana-kāmbhojāḥ = the yavanas, kāmbhojas; paplavāḥ ca = and paplavas; ākulī-kṛtāḥ = then got scattered.
Then Viśvāmitra of great prowess hurled weapons at them. The yavanas, kāmbhojas and paplavas then got scattered because of those weapons.
