Chapter 60: Triśaṅku Blessed
Text 1.60.20
ऋषिमध्ये स तेजस्वी प्रजापतिरिवापरः।
सृजन्दक्षिणमार्गस्थान्सप्तर्षीनपरान्पुनः॥
ṛṣi-madhye sa tejasvī prajāpatir ivāparaḥ
sṛjan dakṣiṇa-mārgasthān sapta-rṣīn aparān punaḥ
ṛṣi-madhye = in the midst of the sages; saḥ = that; tejasvī = powerful sage; prajāpatiḥ iva aparaḥ = like a second Brahmā; sṛjan = created; dakṣiṇa-mārgasthān = in the south; sapta-rṣīn = of seven stars of the constellation Ursa Major; aparān punaḥ = a second set.
In the midst of the sages, like a second Brahmā, that powerful sage created a second set of seven stars of the constellation Ursa Major in the south.
