Chapter 66: The History of Lord Śiva’s bow
Text 1.66.16
भूतलादुत्थितां तां तु वर्धमानां ममात्मजाम्।
वरयामासुरागम्य राजानो मुनिपुङ्गव॥
bhū-talād utthitāṁ tāṁ tu vardhamānāṁ mamātmajām
varayām āsur āgamya rājāno muni-puṅgava
bhū-talāt = of the earth; utthitām = who had come out; tām tu = for her; vardhamānām = and who had grown up; mama ātmajām = as my daughter; varayām āsuḥ = and asked for; āgamya = came and; rājānaḥ = kings; muni-puṅgava = O best of sages.
O best of sages, kings came and asked for her who had come out of the earth and who had grown up as my daughter.
