कौशिकश्च तथेत्याह राजा चाभाष्य मन्त्रिणः।
अयोध्यां प्रेषयामास धर्मात्मा कृतशासनान्।
यथावृत्तं समाख्यातुमानेतुं च नृपं तदा॥
kauśikaś ca tathety āha rājā cābhāṣya mantriṇaḥ
ayodhyāṁ preṣayām āsa dharmātmā kṛta-śāsanān
yathā-vṛttaṁ samākhyātum ānetuṁ ca nṛpaṁ tadā
kauśikaḥ ca = Kauśika; tathā iti = alright; āha = said; rājā ca = King Janaka; ābhāṣya = summoned; mantriṇaḥ = his ministers; ayodhyām = to Ayodhyā; preṣayām āsa = and sent them; dharmātmā = of a dhārmika mind; kṛta-śāsanān = gave them a letter containing a message about the impending auspicious wedding; yathā-vṛttam = of all that had taken place; samākhyātum = to inform; ānetum = to bring him [to Mithilā]; ca = and; nṛpam = the king; tadā = then.
Kauśika said, “Alright.” King Janaka of a dhārmika mind then summoned his ministers, gave them a letter containing a message about the impending auspicious wedding and sent them to Ayodhyā to inform the king of all that had taken place and to bring him [to Mithilā].
