Chapter 73: The Grand Wedding of Sītā and Rāma
Text 1.73.1
यस्मिंस्तु दिवसे राजा चक्रे गोगानमुत्तमम्।
तस्मिंस्तु दिवसे शूरो युधाजित्समुपेयिवान्॥
yasmiṁs tu divase rājā cakre go-gānam uttamam
tasmiṁs tu divase śūro yudhājit samupeyivān
yasmin tu divase = on the day; rājā = the king; cakre = performed; go-gānam uttamam = the excellent go-dāna ceremony; tasmin tu divase śūraḥ = the hero; yudhājit = Yudhājit; samupeyivān = arrived.
The hero Yudhājit arrived on the day the king performed the excellent go-dāna ceremony.
