राजाप्ययोध्याधिपतिः सह पुत्रैर्महात्मभिः।
ऋषीन्सर्वान्पुरस्कृत्य जगाम सबलानुगः।
वाहिनीं महतीं कर्षन्कीर्तिमांश्च ययौ तदा॥
rājāpy ayodhyādhipatiḥ saha putrair mahātmabhiḥ
ṛṣīn sarvān puraskṛtya jagāma sabalānugaḥ
vāhinīṁ mahatīṁ karṣan kīrtimāṁś ca yayau tadā
rājā = the king; api = also; ayodhyā-adhipatiḥ = and ruler of Ayodhyā; saha putraiḥ = with his sons; mahā-ātmabhiḥ = who were great souls; ṛṣīn sarvān = all the ṛṣis; puraskṛtya = keeping in front of him; jagāma = departed; sabala-anugaḥ = as well as his army of four divisions and servants; vāhinīm = army; mahatīm = his large; karṣan = leading; kīrtimān ca = the famous king; yayau tadā = moved on.
The king and ruler of Ayodhyā also departed with his sons who were great souls as well as his army of four divisions and servants. Leading his large army, the famous king moved on, keeping all the ṛṣis in front of him.
