क्षत्ररोषात्प्रशान्तस्त्वं ब्राह्मणश्च महायशाः।
बालानां मम पुत्राणामभयं दातुमर्हसि॥
kṣatra-roṣāt praśāntas tvaṁ brāhmaṇaś ca mahā-yaśāḥ
bālānāṁ mama putrāṇām abhayaṁ dātum arhasi
kṣatra-roṣāt = of your fury towards the kṣatriya community; praśāntaḥ tvam = You have become pacified; brāhmaṇaḥ ca mahā-yaśāḥ = You are a brāhmaṇa of great fame; bālānām = who are [mere] boys; mama putrāṇām = to my sons; abhayam = fearlessness; dātum arhasi = You should give.
You have become pacified of your fury towards the kṣatriya community. You are a brāhmaṇa of great fame. You should give fearlessness to my sons who are [mere] boys.1
1 “You should give fearelessness to my sons” means “You should give safety to my sons.”
