अनसूयो जितक्रोधो न दृप्तो न च मत्सरी।
न चावमन्ता भूतानां न च कालवशानुगः॥
anasūyo jitakrodho na dṛpto na ca matsarī
na cāvamantā bhūtānāṁ na ca kālavaśānugaḥ
anasūyaḥ = He was nonenvious; jita-krodhaḥ = and not under the sway of anger; na = He was neither; dṛptaḥ = proud; na ca = nor; matsarī = jealous; na ca = not; avamantā = He would insult; bhūtānām = any creature; na = He was not; ca = and; kāla-vaśa-anugaḥ = under the control of time.
He was nonenvious and not under the sway of anger. He was neither proud nor jealous. He would not insult any creature and He was not under the control of time.
Lord Rāma was not jealous [of anyone], that is, He did not hate anyone’s prosperity 9.
