अथोपविष्टे नृपतौ तस्मिन्परबलार्दने।
ततः प्रविविशुः शेषा राजानो लोकसम्मताः॥
athopaviṣṭe nṛpatau tasmin para-balārdane
tataḥ praviviśuḥ śeṣā rājāno loka-sammatāḥ
atha = then; upaviṣṭe = when sat; nṛpatau tasmin = King Daśaratha; para-bala-ardane = the destroyer of his opponents’ armies; tataḥ praviviśuḥ = entered his assembly hall; śeṣāḥ = other than the King of Kekaya and Janaka; rājānaḥ = kings; loka-sammatāḥ = honored by the people.
Then, when King Daśaratha, the destroyer of his opponents’ armies, sat [on his throne], kings other than the King of Kekaya and Janaka, honored by the people, entered his assembly hall.
This verse describes how King Daśaratha met them.
