Chapter 7: Mantharā Instructs Kaikeyī to Stop the Coronation

सिक्तराजपथां रम्यां प्रकीर्णकुसुमोत्कराम्।
अयोध्यां मन्थरा तस्मात्प्रासादादन्ववैक्षत॥
sikta-rāja-pathāṁ ramyāṁ prakīrṇa-kusumotkarām
ayodhyāṁ mantharā tasmāt prāsādād anvavaikṣata
sikta-rāja-pathām = its royal roads were wet; ramyām = it was pleasant; prakīrṇa-kusuma-utkarām = and filled with multitudes of scattered flowers; ayodhyām = Ayodhyā; mantharā = Mantharā; tasmāt = from the; prāsādāt = top of the palace; anvavaikṣata = saw.
From the top of the palace, Mantharā saw Ayodhyā. Its royal roads were wet. It was pleasant and filled with multitudes of scattered flowers.
