न मे परं किञ्चिदितस्त्वया पुनः प्रियं प्रियार्हे सुवचं वचः परम्।
तथा ह्यवोचस्त्वमतः प्रियोत्तरं परं वरं ते प्रददामि तं वृणु॥
na me paraṁ kiñcid itas tvayā punaḥ
priyaṁ priyārhe suvacaṁ vacaḥ param
tathā hy avocas tvam ataḥ priyottaraṁ
paraṁ varaṁ te pradadāmi taṁ vṛṇu
na = cannot; me = to me; param = better; kiñcit = anything; itaḥ = than the news regarding Rāma’s coronation; tvayā = you; punaḥ priyam = agreeable; priya-arhe = O one who deserves a pleasing gift; suvacam vacaḥ = speak; param = and more; tathā = and; hi = because; avocas = have spoken; tvam = you; ataḥ = so; priya-uttaram = about the most pleasing event—His coronation; param = a great; varam = benediction; te = you; pradadāmi = I will grant; tam = it; vṛṇu = accept.
O one who deserves a pleasing gift, you cannot speak anything better and more agreeable to me other than the news regarding Rāma’s coronation because you have spoken about the most pleasing event—His coronation. So I will grant you a great benediction. Accept it.
