Ayodhyā-kāṇḍa
Chapter 8: The Conversation Between Kaikeyī and Mantharā
Text 2.8.9
सुभगा खलु कौसल्या यस्याः पुत्रोऽभिषेक्ष्यते।
यौवराज्येन महता श्वः पुष्येण द्विजोत्तमैः॥
subhagā khalu kausalyā yasyāḥ putro ’bhiṣekṣyate
yauvarājyena mahatā śvaḥ puṣyeṇa dvijottamaiḥ
subhagā = is very fortunate; khalu = indeed; kausalyā = Kausalyā; yasyāḥ = whose; putraḥ = son; abhiṣekṣyate = will be coronated; yauvarājyena = crown prince; mahatā = as the grand; śvaḥ = tomorrow; puṣyeṇa = in conjunction with the Puṣya nakṣatra; dvija-uttamaiḥ = by the best of the twice-born.
Indeed, Kausalyā, whose son will be coronated tomorrow in conjunction with the Puṣya nakṣatra as the grand crown prince by the best of the twice born, is very fortunate.
Now Mantharā reveals Kausalyā’s good fortune to make Kaikeyī jealous of her.
