Chapter 15: Daśaratha Personally Instructs Sumantra to Bring Rāma

ते तु तां रजनीमुष्य ब्राह्मणा वेदपारगाः।
उपतस्थुरुपस्थानं सहराजपुरोहिताः॥
te tu tāṁ rajanīm uṣya brāhmaṇā veda-pāragāḥ
upatasthur upasthānaṁ saha-rāja-purohitāḥ
te tu1 tām = the; rajanīm = night; uṣya = having passed; brāhmaṇāḥ = brāhmaṇas; veda-pāragāḥ = experienced in the Vedas; upatasthuḥ = stood; upasthānam = assembled; saha-rāja-purohitāḥ = with the king’s priests.
Having passed the night, brāhmaṇas experienced in the Vedas stood assembled with the king’s priests.
