Chapter 50: The Meeting of Rāma and Guha
Text 2.50.1
विशालान्कोसलान्रम्यान्यात्वा लक्ष्मणपूर्वजः।
अयोध्याभिमुखो धीमान्प्राञ्जलिर्वाक्यमब्रवीत्॥
viśālān kosalān ramyān yātvā lakṣmaṇa-pūrvajaḥ
ayodhyābhimukho dhīmān prāñjalir vākyam abravīt
viśālān = the extensive; kosalān = till the end of South Kosala; ramyān = and pleasant; yātvā = having traversed; lakṣmaṇa-pūrvajaḥ = elder brother of Lakṣmaṇa; ayodhyā-abhimukhaḥ = faced Ayodhyā; dhīmān = the intelligent; prāñjaliḥ = joined His palms in supplication; vākyam = the following words; abravīt = and spoke.
Having traversed till the end of the extensive and pleasant South Kosala, the intelligent elder brother of Lakṣmaṇa joined His palms in supplication, faced Ayodhyā and spoke the following words.
