Text 2.56.17
तान्महर्षिः प्रमुदितः पूजयामास धर्मवित्।
आस्यतामिति चोवाच स्वागतं तु निवेद्य च॥
tān maha-rṣiḥ pramuditaḥ pūjayām āsa dharmavit
āsyatām iti covāca svāgataṁ tu nivedya ca
tān = them; mahā-ṛṣiḥ = great sage; pramuditaḥ = the delighted; pūjayām āsa = worshiped; dharmavit = who knew dharma; āsyatām iti = please sit down; ca = and; uvāca = then said; svāgatam tu nivedya ca = welcomed and.
The delighted great sage who knew dharma welcomed and worshipped them, and then said, “Please sit down.”
