Chapter 59: Sumantra Describes the Agony of all Creatures in the Country
Text 2.59.6

उभाभ्यां राजपुत्राभ्यामथ कृत्वाहमञ्जलिम्।
प्रस्थितो रथमास्थाय तद्दुःखमपि धारयन्॥

ubhābhyāṁ rāja-putrābhyāṁ atha kṛtvāham añjalim
prasthito ratham āsthāya tad duḥkham api dhārayan

ubhābhyām = to the two; rāja-putrābhyām = princes; atha = then; kṛtvā = joined; aham = I; añjalim = my palms in supplication to offer my respect; prasthitaḥ = to depart; ratham = my chariot; āsthāya = then I got on; tat = such; duḥkham api = distress [in me too]; dhārayan = while bearing.

Then I joined my palms in supplication to offer my respect to the two princes while bearing such distress [in me too]. Then I got on my chariot to depart.
