Chapter 83: Bharata Reaches Śṛṅgiberapura
Text 2.83.1
ततः समुत्थितः काल्यमास्थाय स्यन्दनोत्तमम्।
प्रययौ भरतः शीघ्रं रामदर्शनकाङ्क्षया॥
tataḥ samutthitaḥ kālyam āsthāya syandanottamam
prayayau bharataḥ śīghraṁ rāma-darśana-kāṅkṣayā
tataḥ samutthitaḥ = woke up; kālyam = early in the morning 1; āsthāya = got; syandana-uttamam = on His excellent chariot; prayayau = departed; bharataḥ = Bharata; śīghram = and quickly; rāma-darśana-kāṅkṣayā = with a hankering to see Rāma.
Early in the morning, Bharata woke up, got on His excellent chariot and quickly departed with a hankering to see Rāma.
