वनेऽपि वसतस्तस्य बाहुवीर्याभिरक्षिताम्॥
na ca prārthayate kaścin manasāpi vasundharām
vane ’pi vasatas tasya bāhu-vīryābhirakṣitām
na = no; ca prārthayate = hankers; kaścit = one; manasā api = even in his thoughts; vasundharām = for the land; vane = in the forest; api = even though; vasataḥ = dwells; tasya = He; bāhu-vīrya-abhirakṣitām = [for] it is protected by the prowess of His arms.
“No one hankers for the land even in his thoughts, [for] it is protected by the prowess of His arms even though He dwells in the forest.
“No one hankers for the land” means “No neighboring king desires to attack the land [of our kingdom].”
