Canto 2 -
Ayodhyā-kāṇḍa
Chapter 105: Rāma Consoles Bharata With Spiritual Instructions
Text 2.105.5

महतेवाम्बुवेगेन भिन्नः सेतुर्जलागमे।
दुरावारं त्वदन्येन राज्यखण्डमिदं महत्॥

mahatevāmbu-vegena bhinnaḥ setur jalāgame
durāvāraṁ tvad-anyena rājya-khaṇḍam idaṁ mahat

mahatā = great; iva = like; ambu-vegena = by the force of water; bhinnaḥ = that has been breached; setuḥ = a dam; jala-āgame = on the arrival of rains; durāvāram = cannot be controlled; tvat-anyena = by anyone other than You; rājya-khaṇḍam = piece of land belonging to Our kingdom; idam = this; mahat = great.

Like a dam that has been breached by the great force of water on the arrival of rains, this great piece of land belonging to our kingdom cannot be controlled by anyone other than You.

Having stated that the kingdom was not controllable [by anyone other than Rāma], Bharata then states that He did not have the capacity [to do what Rāma does].
