Chapter 111: Rāma Agrees to Accept the Throne After Returning to Ayodhyā

सोऽहं ते पितुराचार्यस्तव चैव परंतप।
मम त्वं वचनं कुर्वन्नातिवर्तेः सतां गतिम्॥
so ’haṁ te pitur ācāryas tava caiva parantapa
mama tvaṁ vacanaṁ kurvann nātivarteḥ satāṁ gatim
saḥ aham = I am; te = Your; pituḥ = father’s; ācāryaḥ = teacher; tava = Your; ca eva = and; parantapa = O scorcher of Your opponents; mama = my; tvam = You; vacanam = instructions; kurvan = by carrying out; na ativarteḥ = will not transgress; satām = of the saints; gatim = the path.
O scorcher of Your opponents, I am Your and Your father’s teacher. By carrying out my instruction, You will not transgress the path of the saints.
